APPLIED CHRISTIAN STUDIES

  • Level 1 Introduction     
  • Level 2 Foundation 30 hours        
  • Level 3 160 hours  
  • 2 residential week-ends  (Friday – Sunday) 
  • 1 Local  week-end conference  (Friday – Sunday

Target group:

Participants must be 16years and above
Course is suitable for those who

    • Hold or are preparing for roles of responsibility in church or Christian organisations
    • Wish to explore the principles and perspectives of Christianity at a deep level
    • Wish to continue their study at an higher level or enter ministerial training

    Introduction -  Level 1 -  covers:

    •  The nature of the church
    • The Church’s teaching tasks
    • The church’s Mission and it’s practical application

    Foundation Level 2 covers:

      • Biblical and theological foundations
      • The nature of the Bible
      • The Bible and Christian Education
      • Christian Education in the early Church
      • Biblical theology
      • Renaissance and Reformation
      • Christian Education in England/current scene
      • Philosophy of Christian Education
      • Objectives in Christian Education

    Level 3  - Applied Christian

    Studies covers 4 units as outlined:


    Unit 1    Salvation, Mission & Hope
    Unit 2    Church , Community & Faith
    Unit 3    Growth and expression
    Unit 4    Ethical challenges and responses
